The location of HOS is perfect. The gulf front unit was beautiful and had the best view of the beach by far. This is our favorite place on Siesta Key. The sunsets are perfect from the rooftop.

The property is in a great location. There are many restaurants and bars across the street. The pool and beach are beautiful

Perfect location for a vacation. When we weren't enjoying the beach and the view we could walk across the street for good food or ride the trolley in to the village for even more options. The staff at House of the Sun is very friendly and helpful.

Loved our stay visiting son and family. Great balcony deck to see and hear the ocean. Sunsets were spectacular from our deck.

This room, 315, gets a top review. Rooms 315,316, 215, 216 would get you beachfront and gulf view that are as good as you will see. The balcony was huge. rooms were clean, property was well maintained. Walking distance to at least 7 or 8 restaurants. Across the street is Captain Curts, Tiki Bar, and Crescent. Live music, much to eat, especially seafood, beverages. Coffee shop and market all nearby. This is easy to get to - very close to bridge from mainland, and 30 minutes from SRQ airport. If you are looking for a modern Hilton style hotel, this is not it. It is simply a well apportioned two bedroom condo with some of the best sunsets you will see. Oh, and the soft white sand beaches are about as good as you will walk upon. Great location that checked all our boxes.

This was the perfect condo to spend a relaxing vacation! The condo has an amazing view of the Gulf, the sunsets, the pool, the palm trees, etc. The condo was nicely decorated and had all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. The two beds were comfortable; the condo was clean; it was a nice "home away from home." We didn't have any occasions where we needed to call for assistance. I want to thank the owners for sharing their beautiful home.

Very happy with our stay until this year when we were told that our rates raised another $700 per week after just paying over $400 more so that is a total of almost $1,200 in one years time. Our condo is clean but furniture is old, mattresses old and uncomfortably hard, carpet is dirty, bathrooms need updated, guest bath dirty looking, lack of Kitchen supplies for someone who cooks, I had to ask for pots, pans and skillets and there were no cookie sheets or grilling supplies so overall condo needs a total refresh. I feel the rate increase does not validate the condo's condition considering I can now get a nicer condo at surrounding properties for almost the same amount and they don't even compare in being new top of the line furniture, kitchens, grills, landscaping and amenities that are offered. We will give the owners one more year to put the money into upgrading their condo's but if they do not we are taking our 15 plus condo reservations and moving to the nicer places. The condo right now doesn't justify the rate increase. I use to brag about our stay and the condo's but at this time I will tell people to price the newer properties, the condo's are not worth the money they are asking for them.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the beach! The area is great- lots to do. Staff were consistently helpful and kind. The unit was clean and comfortable. It’s does seem dated for the price. Some of the other units in the building have newer furniture, bedding and appliances. In addition, for the price, it seems absurd that the four of us were only allowed two beach chairs. We brought towels and sat on them rather than pay for additional chairs.

Have stayed at House of the Sun often over the years. Have not been able to book this unit in the past, but due to the pandemic rescheduling we were able to book. Several things distinguish the unit, starting with the double deck, portions of which get sun access from early morning to sunset . Kitchen and Master Bedroom updates are also very nicely done. A really great stay and would highly recommend this unit. Also a note to the maintenance staff. We first stayed at HOS in 1980 in the unit just below this one. The common areas throughout the facility look as good today as they did back then, but with updated colors and fixtures.
