House Of The Sun #310GV

We always joyfully the House of the Sun. It is very clean, staff is wonderful, and the beach is beautiful!

When I booked the unit I was told it slept 5 and had a pill out sofabed. I did not....had to make my daughter sleep on an air mattress...management was kind enough to offer us a $75 gift certificate to a local restaurant. You can’t realy on what you are told by the front desk when making your reservation

This unit was fine. Smelled very musty. It was fine for what we needed since we rented 2 units and the other unit was perfect with no musty smell. If we had to stay in this unit during our entire stay, it would have been difficult to put up with the musty smell. We did get a last minute deal that was much appreciated since we were displaced last minute due to another rental under construction. Matthew and the staff were awesome. Prompt response to any needs or concerns. Overall, this was a fabulous week for us with our 2 adult children.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the House of The Sun. Beautiful Beach area with folks to set up chairs, nice pool and patio with gas grills, awesome 4th and 5th floor Sun decks that were perfect for evening sunset watching and nice quiet spots during the day.

Our condo (#310) was very nice. Might be a better choice for adult guests vs families, lots of pretty mirrors and glass tables that might not be great choices for little ones. View was nice, appliances were all new, master bedroom bed was very comfortable. New flooring was nice, tv offered all channels we wanted. Living room furniture comfortable, but ready for a refresh.

Walkable to many restaurants and shops which was nice. A little noisy at night with close proximity of a couple of bars.

Very happy we found the House of the Sun, will look at staying there again when in Siesta Key.

We had 2 great weeks at house of the sun! We love that they have pickleball courts, although it would be nice if they had lights at the court so we could play in evening.

Apt 310 was very nice and we scheduled it for next year. It needs to be updated in some areas. Toilets are too low for old people.

Very nice updated property. New floors and appliances. The furniture and master mattress were very comfortable. Very clean. However this is not a good unit for families. Our grandchildren were here in another unit and we didn’t feel comfortable with them visiting us much as they usually do. Only breakable dishes and glassware. Glass topped tables and dining chairs on rollers. We hate to buy disposables and make so much trash! The review is missing a few stars because of construction on common areas. It will be great when it is finished but we did have to put up with dust, paint fumes and noise. There were 3 families traveling on this trip and none of us were aware there was construction unless we all missed the tiny print. I am sure we will stay here again but we will try to pick a different unit.

I will say it’s great to be right on the beach, but for the price you pay to be here, I’d expect it to be kept up better. Stains all over the carpet in the unit and out in the hallways. Make sure you bring dish soap because they don’t provide that or a dishwasher. At over $300/night, this place is very overpriced for the condition that it’s in.

We had to choose a different condo this year from one that we had rented for more than 10 years because the person who owned it would not do any updates. We absolutely love the 310 condo we chose for this year and we will continue to rent it for many more years.
We were amazed at all of the beautiful new landscaping that our wonderful House of the Sun had to do after the hurricane.

Overall, we had a great week. The House of Sun staff is pleasant and helpful. The after hours check in process was clear and efficient. We loved the location. It was easy to take a trolley to the village, but we were not in the high traffic area. The unit (310GV) had everything we needed (plan for a coffee pot, not a Keurig). It is time to replace the carpet. While it was clean, it was worn and has stains. I would not rent a unit with carpet again.

We were there for 9 days with friends and had a wonderful time. Our unit hasn't been updated but still served us well.

There is nothing more to ask for at House Of The Sun. Perfect location for access to the beach and to shops and restaurants. The condo was clean, nicely furnished. Full kitchen was nice and in unit washer dryer is very useful. The gas grills offer many other great options for a quick dinner. We have stayed at the House Of The Sun three times now and are never disappointed.

Great place to stay!

First time staying at HOS, super nice accommodations ,very clean and spacious. So convenient with bars and restaurants right across road. Front desk was very helpful and pleasant. Diffidently are coming back.
