Beach Access & Amenities
Does House of the Sun have a private beach on Siesta Key?
Yes! House of the Sun offers a designated private beach area exclusively for our guests and owners.
Our beach area is marked by House of the Sun flags and extends toward the wet sand. The boundaries may vary daily depending on the tides.
An independent beach attendant monitors the area and assists guests with beach chairs and umbrella or cabana rentals.
Please note that personal tents and canopies are not permitted within our private beach area.
To rent a beach umbrella or cabana, please see the beach attendant directly. Rentals are provided by an independent beach service for an additional fee.
Are beach chairs provided with my Siesta Key condo rental?
Absolutely! House of the Sun provides complimentary yellow vinyl-strapped lounge chairs and sand chairs for guests to enjoy on the beach. Additional chairs are available on the pool deck.
Each condo is guaranteed four beach chairs. Simply see the beach attendant for assistance.
Are beach towels provided at House of the Sun?
Beach towels are not provided with your House of the Sun vacation condo rental. Please bring your own beach towels to enjoy during your stay at Siesta Key Beach.
Complimentary beach chairs are available for our guests, so you can pack a little lighter!
Condo Supplies
What starter supplies are included in my vacation condo?
Each House of the Sun vacation condo comes with a complimentary starter supply to help you settle in comfortably.
Your condo will include:
- 1 roll of paper towels
- 4 rolls of toilet paper
- 4 bars of soap
- 8 kitchen trash bags
- 8 bathroom trash bags
- 2 dishwasher pods
- 1 small bottle of dish soap
- 2 laundry pods
These supplies are intended to get you started. Guests are responsible for purchasing additional items as needed throughout their stay.
Reservations & Payments
Can I reserve the same Siesta Key condo for next year?
Absolutely! We love welcoming our returning guests to House of the Sun! Before checkout, guests have the first opportunity to reserve the same condo for the corresponding dates the following year, before those dates become available to the public.
Book your next stay before checkout and receive 10% off your future reservation!
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Stop by the front office before you leave to reserve your favorite condo, lock in your dates, and take advantage of your returning guest discount!
What is the cancellation policy for House of the Sun vacation rentals?
We understand that vacation plans sometimes change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 90 days before arrival: A $200 cancellation fee applies.
- 90 to 30 days before arrival: A cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total reservation amount applies, regardless of how much has already been paid.
- Less than 30 days before arrival: No refunds will be issued.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your vacation investment against unexpected changes.
What is the deposit and payment schedule for House of the Sun vacation rentals?
To secure your Siesta Key vacation rental at House of the Sun, payments are due according to the following schedule:
- 25% due at booking: An initial deposit is required to confirm your reservation
- 50% due 90 days before arrival: Your second payment is due 90 days before check-in
- 25% due 30 days before arrival: The remaining balance must be paid in full 30 days before check-in.
Your reservation confirmation will include your payment amounts and due dates.
Parking & Arrival Information
Is parking included with my House of the Sun condo rental?
Yes! Each condo includes one assigned parking space, corresponding to the unit number.
Most parking spaces are covered, although 10 units have outdoor parking.
We also offer 20 additional guest parking spaces on a first-come, first-served basis for $20 per day.
Please contact the front office to arrange additional parking and obtain the required parking pass. Availability is not guaranteed.
Can I check in after hours at House of the Sun?
Absolutely! We offer a convenient late-arrival process for guests traveling outside regular office hours.
Our front office is open Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Eastern Time.
If you arrive after hours, you'll find a late-arrival lockbox located on the wall outside our office.
Inside, an envelope labeled with your last name and condo number will contain your keys, parking pass, gate fobs, and other important arrival information.
We kindly ask that you stop by the front office on the next business day to complete your check-in.
